What has Wayne Krivsky had to give up for the following players? Please update as you find out the answers if/when they are available.

    Scott Schoeneweis
    Sun-Woo Kim
    Todd Hollandsworth
    Ryan Franklin

Sun-Woo Kim was free. ("Future considerations," I believe.)

Well, you get what you pay for.

    From Marc's blog today:

The Reds sent infielder Trevor Lawhorn to the Blue Jays as the player to be named in the Scott Schoeneweis deal. Lawhorn hit .224 with four homers and 28 RBIs in 91 games for the Sarasota Reds this season. The only remaining PTBNL is to the Indians in the Todd Hollandsworth deal.

And the one we get from the Marlins for Cody Ross, right?

Oh, OK I see that now. Thanks.

Actually that is not a bad return (especially considering the lack of depth at C). 27 yrs. old. Scouts say he is the best defensive C in the minors. Hitting is suspect. He may turn into something or just be a solid backup C. I like that move.

Jorgensen came to the Reds before the season started. Don't think a return from Ross has ever been announced, it may have been a quietly made cash payment.

    You're right:

    Tue, 28 Mar 2006 15:35:19

The Associated Press reports the Cincinnati Reds acquired C Ryan Jorgensen from the Florida Marlins for IF Carlos Piste. Jorgensen came to the Marlins in 2002 with SP Dontrelle Willis from the Chicago Cubs for SP Matt Clement and RP Antonio Alfonseca.

If this was the Bengals we know that payment might go in the "bail fund." I hope we don't/didn't take cash, there has got to be someone in Florida's minors that we would want.
