    LaRussa's rant about Harang

Does anyone else think LaRussa's calls for suspension and fines is justified in this case? He really seems to be off the deep end with this one. It's one thing to spout off one time but he seems to be on a mission against Harang. It's nonsense.

And I wonder if he'll suspend the next Cards pitcher that hits a batter in the head or goes high and inside? Probably not.

Yes, Larussa should be suspended for his actions and fined. He could have killed someone.

LaRussa is an idiot on this issue. Accidents happen, what's worse is when a player intentially takes out a second baseman or shortstop with a slide and tears a knee ligament.

Agreed completely, he and every other DUI conviction should be in prison. You can't blindly shoot into a crowed but you can apparently blindly drive on the road and get a minor penalty.

LaRussa simply looks a little foolish making a big deal out of Harang's control when this is the first batter he's ever hit in the head. I can't figure out why he's so fanatical about this incident.

As reds fans, maybe we should all print this picture out, and mail it to LaRussa just to remind him that even "Professionals" aren't perfect.

Someone's still bitter about the Mookie Wilson/Ron Oester incident...

If the baseball world decided to take on these extreme penalties LaRussa would probably not have a job. LaRussa made himself look like hypocrite with a DUI and Josh Hancock getting killed in an alcohol related incident.

When the Cards come to town we need to have folks with posters with his mug shot blown up.

Larussa is a tool. Who cares what he has to say?

He gets lucky and his team wins the World Series and suddenly he's like Marty Brenneman and thinks everything he says holds more weight than anyone else.

I respect Tony LaRussa, but he lost alot of credibility with those comments. I understand his stance against events like this, but only in the most severe cases where intention can reasonably be concluded. But that again is pure speculation and can lead to false accusations. Everyone that knows anything about Aaron Harang can not reasonably suspect that. Tony should know this more than anyone.

LaRussa is a dud. He's low and dirty. He will whine and bicker about stupid things, and then turn a blind eye on other issues. I mean he was manager for the Bash brothers in the 80's. You don't think he knew they were juiced up? He knew, he just wanted to win.
