Come on guys its the Pirates, THE PIRATES, that plays in the scumiest city in the world. I hate that organization and get depressed everytime I see their ugly uniforms on an MLB field, they should do MLB a favor and fold their crappy organization, they are a waste of space. Eat $h!t Pitt.
The Pirates and Diamondbacks have been our Achilles heel thus far, that's true.

They do have some good young players. And they don't give a crap about running a winning franchise. I'd look to grab some players from them before the deadline.
I've been to Pitt and I must say that its a really nice city. It reminds me alot of Cincinnati. I think they are a much better team than years past. PNC Park is one of the nicest ballparks in the league and their fans are very respectable. It really makes our fans look like immature idiots when you post like this. I hate the Steelers just as much as anyone but you can't argue with their success and passion up there. I'm sorry that I seem like dad with this response but I had a good experience there and really like the people of that city.
Pittsburghs a good place with hard working people, I have to respect that. There are dirty and rough spots, but what city doesn't have that? And at least they don't have the bungals.

Well granted with a lot of the things said above, HOWEVER, when you are a WVU grad. like myself and a WVU football nut you tend to despise anything to do with the city of Pittsburgh!
I pity the Pirates fans, who could have the nicest baseball stadium in baseball, except that there's no relevent baseball to be watched there.
And before we get too worked up over losing to them, let's not forget that the Cardinals lost to them (and the Cubs, and the rest of the NL central excluding us) all of last season. Struggling against bad teams happens to the best of us.
Dont bother, they at least have football, so its a wash. I am sure they look at Cincy and feel bad they have football fans and what they go through year after year after year after year after year after year after year....

Two points to make here:
1.) The Reds are currently 1 season removed from spending pretty much the last decade as basement roomates with the Pirates. I am not sure we have a recent resume to be ripping on anyone.
2.) The Cardinals are despised in a large part because they carry around this air of superiority. Lets not act like the Cardinals.
Dude whatever. This a team that we are SUPPOSED to beat, you have to beat the celler dwellers.
+1. Also whoever said Pittsburgh is a nice city is waaay off. Only ppl who like it are from there, hilly with small roads is not a good combo. My dad hated living there and people i've talked to who've both lived in Detroit and Pittsburgh have all picked Detroit.
