Manager Charlie Manuel said Ryan Howard, who wasn't in the lineup for the third- straight game, has improved and is expected to start this afternoon.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but that grassy knoll is looking more and more credible.

If there's something more is wrong with him, I wish they'd just say it....it's so secretive when it comes to Junior....it gets old.

Game threads aren't to be started until a lineup is posted.

Strange? Yes. But at this stage it may be a ploy to take a little pressure off of Edwin, the kid has pressed all season long so far and showed signs last night that he may be ready to snap out of it. If Narron thinks hiding him lower in the order will ease his mind a bit for the greater good of the future of his season, then I'm all for it.

Then again Narron could just be an idiot.

I kind of agree with you TJ25, I think he's looking to take the pressure off the kid.

I would have put the pitcher ahead of Dunn just to piss him off...

This game is winnable. They need to take it.

Garcia has been hittable for the past few seasons. Hopefully Matty B can step up today with Howard back.
