    4. The answer to the question is Xavier Paul. Baker as always will keep Heisy on a short leash, as he should. When Heisy fails, Paul will platoon with him.
    1. Excellent question
    2. How specifically might that happen is the more interesting question imho.
    3. Why? Seems like the most sensible option if you go for a value player so not farm system or roster decimating.

(If it wasn't for Baker, Chapman would be preparing to face 700+ batters per year instead of 250.)
whats heisey potential? ive always looked at him as a bench guy.

Comparing the replacement level Heisey with Bruce is laughable.

While I am not sure Hamilton is the answer, I agree that CF is the spot you want to fill. This way LF and CF defense gets an upgrade. Acquiring an excellent fielding CF, even if they have an OPS in the .600s, would be an okay trade-off.

I do not have a name to propose. What ever happened to that Stubbs guy?

is it too late to keep Donald?

is there anyone that got caught in a team's roster crunch that would be an upgrade over Robinson?

Not moving Choo to LF is a pretty bewildering move. At the very least you think they could make up some of the net run-production lost from Ludwick by beefing up the defense. I know people want to trade for a new LF, but really, by the time that becomes an option, we might as well bring up Hamilton, right?

I'll also add that, if it comes down to Heisey filling in, I really don't see why you don't go with Paul instead. No upside, but, really, Heisey has none either, and Paul at least got on base last year. This might contradict what I just said because I have no idea how Paul and Heisey compare as defenders.

Its pretty clear Walt doesn't operate that way. At least he hasn't in the past.
