UC wins again in Big East tourney

No. 2 seed UC knocked off South Florida Wednesday night, 11-1 in seven innings, scoring 10 runs in the last three innings to support Michael Hill, who allowed one run in seven innings. Having won their first two games, the Bearcats will be off Thursday, then will play in the semifinals at 1 p.m. Friday vs. the winner of Thursday's game between USF and West Virginia. The Bearcats' cause was helped Wednesday when No. 1 seed St. John's lost to Villanova, 12-0, eliminating the Red Storm. UC is now 38-19.
Would be nice to see them win and make it to the College World Series.

Xavier was the #1 seed in the Atlantic 10 also.

Currently 2-2 vs. URI in the top of the 2nd.

It appears pretty likely that it will be a UC-Louisville Final in the Big East.

South Florida would have to beat UC twice and/or Villanova would have to beat UofL twice to prevent it.

Should be a good game if it happens. Both teams have had good seasons and are on terrific rolls of late. The game would also include the Big East Co-Players of the year, Dominguez for Louisville and Harrison for Cincy. Louisville took 2 of 3 from them a few weeks ago so, of course, I'll be hoping for similar results down in Florida.

I used to umpire alot of High School games Louisville's Andrew Clark used to play in. Keep your eye on him because he is an amazing talent!!

Louisville beat Nova 13-6. They're really pounding the ball lately. We'll see if Cincy joins them in the championship game.
