I used to be one of stubbs biggest supporters but he gives nothing to this team offensively

Paul Goldschmidt vs Aroldis Chapman is worth the price of admission, but all 3 of these AB's should be fun to watch.

The Reds could rest Drew Stubbs until hell froze over and it wouldn't matter. He just is not a hitter.

This is probably a stupid question...but since I'm old & I don't care, here it is....How has Stubbs scored so many runs with a low 200 BA, a sh-t ton of strikeouts & he bats second??????

No sombrero for Stubbs tonight, but a little headwear trivia...

Only one pitcher ever struck Tony Gwynn out 3x in a game: Bob Welch, 1986
Rounding third and heading for home...

Well, he doesn't have a lot. Maybe more than you'd expect with his poor numbers. But hitting ahead of Votto so many times can't hurt.

I am surprised no announcer has ever called a slider a White Castle. Seems like a natural call to me.

    Re: Reds at D'Backs 8/27

"When I struck out, I couldn't sleep at night," said Tony Gwynn, who won eight batting titles and never struck out more than 40 times in a season. "(But) there's a whole generation of kids watching big league guys play who think it's OK to strike out. ..."
