Dayton is also playing right now. They lead 6-0 in the 5th inning.

Chris Valaika is 2-for-3 with a triple and single. Logan Parker is 1-for-2 with a double and Juan Francisco is 1-for-3 with his third HR of the season.

    Daryl Thompson has a perfect game through four innings. 4 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K.

Chris Heisey is now 3-for-3 with a triple, double, and single. He only needs a HR for cycle.

Logan Parker singled and is now 2-for-3. Parker got off to an awful start but he now has his BA up to an even .300, OBP is at an amazing .444 and his SLG is at .380. He's a big guy with power so expect that SLG to rise .100+ points by the end of the season.

Ramon Geronimo relieved Thompson and threw a scoreless 7th inning with one strikeout and a single allowed.

    9-0 Dayton in the 8th.

Johnny Cueto pitches tonight for Sarasota.

It's great to see Thompson pitching well. If he can become a real prospect, it will make the trade less painful. What's his scouting report?

Hopefully Cueto can get on a roll tonight and keep his mo from his last start.

Juan Francisco hits yet another 2-run HR! Juan is now 3-for-5 on the day with two HR, a single, and 4 RBI. Keep in mind this kid doesn't even turn 20 years old until the last week of June. He now has 4 HR and 10 XBH in 76 atbats.

Thompson was a real prospect before being hurt. I havent seen any report on how hard he is throwing now that he is healthy again.

Francisco.... Nice! Would love to see better plate discipline, but he is swinging a hot bat.

Juan Francisco is hitting .316/.342/.566 at the age of 19 in the Midwest League. Yeah he needs to work hard on his plate discipline but the power he is showing is very impressive. That's Jay Bruce-esque right there. It's good to see some of these young bats starting to develop into potential impact players.

Milton Loo is another guy I'm looking forward to seeing. It shouldn't be too long before he is assigned to a team, probably Dayton. He's another kid that has the potential to be a big time hitter.

Is Milton Loo in extended spring training yet? Maybe Fargo has had a Loo sighting? Francisco and Phipps were my break out players. Juan's not letting me down!!!!!!
