I forget exactly what it's called, but I always enjoyed the French one. "Foux Da Fa Fa" or something like that.

I'm probably alone on this one, but as much as I love their stage performances, I can't stand the FOTC HBO show.
Their stage performances are a pitch-perfect blend of self-effacing comedy and musical talent, both in a very pure form. The show is a dreary exercise full of strained "zaniness." And the music in the show seems like it has had the soul drained from it.

I wouldn't say I can't stand the show--actually, I enjoy it--but I agree with you in principle. As for the songs, I think the visual doesn't do a lot of them justice. Some songs are better when accompanied by video ("Albi the Racist Dragon" comes to mind), but with other songs, it's just not necessary. That doesn't take away from the humor, though. What takes away from the humor and makes the show drag is that some of the episodes will go a couple minutes with absolutely nothing funny. Pretty much every show does that, though.

Witty signature.
The last verse of "Bret, You got it going on" is hard to beat.
Robots, Cheer Up Murray, Business Time (in no particular order).
How do we know he's not Mel Torme?
I forgot my other favorite song, the oft played but never fully heard "Who Likes to Rock the Party?"
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
"There is no more unethical treatment of the elephants."
"Well, there's no more elephants, so..."
"Ah, but still, it's good."

The first half of season 1 is AWESOME AWESOME. The second half gets more tedious, has those stretches of lackluster-ness, but in the end even a mediocre FotC episode is a beautiful thing. Spread the love.
1. Inner City Pressure
2. Business Time
3. Robots
Cannot wait for season 2.
“The crows seem to be calling my name,” thought Caw.
