    Thursday 6/14/12 Minor-League Updates

Louisville has actually been watchable--or followable--for the past week or so. Tonight, the Bats lead 4-1 after four, behind the estimable Ryan Feierabend. Felix Perez and Danny Dorn each has two hits with a 2B. Janish is back in the lineup. Dioner Navarro is hitting cleanup.

Dayton trails 2-1 after five. Daniel Tuttle is pitching pretty well. Kyle Waldrop has a HR.

After a nice first, Cingriani gives up back-to-back-to-back HR to begin the second.

Joey Gathright isn't in the lineup tonight.

I'm guessing he's on his way to NY to meet the Reds.

Stubbs and Heisey both hurt. Stubbs can be put on the DL retroactively and miss a few more games. Gathright provides CF depth.

    No?

Joel Guzman homers for Pensacola, which trails 3-1.

Somehow the estimable one, Ryan Feierabend, limited the damage to two earned runs. He pitched 4.1 innings and surrendered eight hits and two walks. Included in that total was a home run. Somehow only one other runner crossed the plate. Wirfin Obispo is on now and has matters well in hand. Obispo has not allowed a hit in his last 7.2 IP.

Incidentally, it would appear that the Bats from Louisville are also fluent in the Parisian dialect.

Weird pitching line for Cingrani so far.

Michael Dennhardt came on and gave up a run in the sixth. Dragons now trail 3-1. Kyle Waldrop knocked one out of the park for Dayton.

Kyle Waldrop tonight has not only homered for Dayton, but is pitching in relief against Louisville.

Danny Dorn was removed from the game, so he could get the call up. I'll find out once Louisville's game is over.

Whoever it is, the implication is that Heisey's going to miss some time and the Reds will add an outfielder from AAA.

Likely. I'd assume it's Dorn now that I knew he was removed half way through the game.

That would make my day, but Dorn is batting right now on milb.tv, so I would have to disagree with you ... Sadly, it was Willie Harris scratched from the lineup.

I'd really like to see that.
