Does that one scene where they're on the boat and he's talking about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis still give you chills? That scene is scarier than most any other part of the movie. The way the lines are delivered, everything.

I was 8 when that movie came out and my father took me to the drive inn to see it. The part that got me then was where they're diving on that wreck and the head appears in the hole in the boat. I jumped something awful then. Now the scene I mentioned above seems to be the most chilling.

Oh, god. Germany worships the Hill/Spencer films. I can't stand them, but I've been obligated to sit through each film at least three times. I don't even like them in English, let alone in the anti-humor language, German.

Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs with Dustin Hoffman and sexy Susan George is one of my favorites. It is loosely based on the William Gordon novel The Siege of Trencher's Farm which is actually far better than the movie.

    But that ending!

Amazing movie until the end IMO. Tenenbaums is a classic throughout.

Also Bottle Rocket may be my favorite movie ever.
