    Relax, it was a joke.

    Jose Rijo?

    The Nasty Boys?

Soto would look good on this team.

If we're being honest, we'd replace everyone of our current starting eight with a former Reds great, with the exception of Joey Votto, who isn't exactly on fire himself lately. The current team has a lot of talent, but I don't see any certain HOF-caliber talent.

I think Bench would be the biggest upgrade (our catchers doesn´t contribute offensively)

second would be Larkin I think.. someone who can hit in the #2 spot and an upgrade over cozart

3rd would be someone for lf/cf or 3rd base

Hard not to go with the 1970 Johnny Bench. Awesome defense and huge RH power.

Plus he was one of the greatest catchers of all time. Catcher is the position where it is most difficult to find a combination of great defense and offense. I imagine he'd be an even bigger plus because he could DH during interleague games when he needs a rest.

    I would go:

    1) Johnny Bench at C
    2) George Foster in LF

I loved Larkin, but I don't think Cozart is too much of a liability as long as he's hitting in the 8th spot in the order.

1982-83 Mario Soto. Of course, half the people on here would say he has to go to the pen because he only throws 2 pitches.

    Replace our entire left side:
    Pete at 3b
    Larkin at SS
    Foster in LF

1970 Tony Perez. Those #'s would look nice at 3B.
