He (Dusty) is consistent. Come to think of it, so is Soto.

Let's not get too carried away. Wood's pitching a great game. And Kershaw struggled some by his standards. But no confusion around who the (much) better pitcher is, right?

I didn't mean just Kershaw. I meant the Dodger starters & Cards starters. Wood has a crappy w/l record but his other numbers are VERY solid.

I watch Travis Wood, and I continue to not understand how he retires major league hitters. His stuff just looks so hittable and he leaves so many pitches out over the dead center of the plate.

For a guy that can't break 90, that's usually death.

I thought he's been hitting the edges and corners quite a bit.

Ludwick in LF still leaves non-Soto RH PH options for any manager except Baker.

I'm with you Charles. Wood is in the conversation when you talk about the better starters in the league. Not in the top tier of the very best but certainly in the next level.
