You're seeing why having Dusty Baker shouldn't manage. Costanza shouldn't be playing, you don't sacrifice bunt with two on nobody out when you're winning....

And you don't pay Chapman 8 million dilkars to do what the Nationals pay Tyler Clippard 2 million dollars to do.

    What a cluster....

Nothing like letting the winning run take second.

I know..........this team is hard to watch because of disaster of a roster and because of the manager's disaster of lineups.

    Bring on TLR.

    We're good again.

Still think Jeter should have been out.

Is it really over this time? I'm watching with the sound off because I'm supposed to be working on classes I'm taking, but I'm sure that's the second time FSO has flashed up "Final".

Great job by the bullpen, except Marshall. Clutch outings for Ondrusek and Arredondo.

    Suggestion -- Arredondo closes.

Yeah, it is. I saw that too, I can't repeat my language here when they called Jeter safe.

Nice job by Dusty using Arredondo there. Had he left in Marshall, as is his pattern, the Reds would have lost.

And when that lefty isn't on, he walks batters. A bunch. He's also a wild pitch/passed ball waiting to happen. But like I said, more importantly, he needs to be pitching multiple innings. Often. That's not going to happen if they label him the "closer".

A "closer" does NOT have to be a flamethrower. Just a strike-thrower. And Marshall, Chapman, Ondrusek, Arredondo all qualify for that. Sean simply has experience doing it before so it's his role for now. I don't get why that's hard to follow.

If a pitcher gives up 2 runs in the 8th or 2 runs in the 9th...what's the difference? If the pitcher goes 1-2-3 in the 8th or 1-2-3 in the 9th, what's the difference? None.

When has Chapman walked anybody in bunches this year? It appears he has solved that problem. Marshall is a quality set up man. We know this. And being a closer isn't as simple as being a strike thrower.
