For Spring Training games currently MLB Network has 2 Reds game scheduled live and 2 others on tape

Hopefully FoxSports Indiana will televise more games this season. I cannot figure out why Direct TV and Uverse can show FS Ohio , but Comcast says it is out of territory here in Columbus,IN.

FOX Sports Ohio will only broadcast 145 out of the 162 Reds games.
WKRC will simulcast Opening Day. FOX has announced it will broadcast 9 Reds games. 154 of 162 Reds games will be broadcast on local TV this season. Many afternoon games which typically go untelevised will be available this year. Only 7 games are currently not scheduled to be on television - MLB Network may still air those games. I seem to remember a ton of spring training games on tv in the 80s when I grew up - seems like the Braves were on all the time and maybe the Cubs. Am I making that up? Seems odd we'd only have 1-2 spring training games on tv.

Ain't it great as compared to the # of games that were aired just 10 years ago or so?

My Reds TV growing up was a Louisville affiliate that aired maybe 12 games a year. Thankfully, I had Marty & Joe !

Remember the days not 4-5 years ago when we only got 100 on FSN? Also I believe we'll be mostly devoid of George Grande's services this year. He might do a few games.
I actually enjoy George when he's only on once in a while. Every day through the bad years was enough to make me want to pull my hair out. |
