Re: Who is Redszone's #34 prospect for 2013?

I've reached the point of not really wanting to vote for anyone. On my most recent list, Josh Ravin is the highest guy remaining, but I'm re-thinking that one. Considering Selsky or Fellhauer, but it's tough to vote for a guy who platoons in AA.

I'd love to read about other guys who might be on somebody's radar. If you feel like making your case, my vote can be swayed at this point.

Mark Serrano, versatile, can be used as a spot starter, long reliever, k's to bb's very good...Look at his numbers as a spot starter last year...

Back on the Josh Fellhauer train. He is a platoon type of guy, but as a left hander he hits righties well and can play all three outfield spots. I like him in the 20's, so I really like him here.

Based on the Baseball America prospect handbook, I vote for Aristides Aquino.

Looks like 'Other' is taking names here early in the voting.

Selsky's support has dwindled to the point that I've switched my vote to Fellhauer.

September was the first time he's been on a major league roster, so I'd assume he does.

I am going to go with someone I have not seen much talk about in this voting right now, and that is Jeremy Kivel. Kivel has not thrown a pitch in the Reds' organization yet, and was only a 10th round pick, but he signed well above slot at $500k, and has great stuff and most importantly to me, great upside. Kivel is likely very far from the major leagues, but he has the impact kind of talent that I want at the back-end of my prospect list.

After dominating at Dayton in 2011 (.933 WHIP, 89 K in 60 IP), Drew Hayes skipped Bakersfield last year and pitched well for Pensacola (64 K in 63.1 IP) after a horrid start. He walks too many, but, hey, so did Sandy Koufax for a while there. He's in spring camp with the Reds, and they haven't cut him yet. Dusty said something about him throwing a lot of strikes, which you can take as you might. But I'm sticking with him, and I wish some others would, as well, so I could move on.

I'll go with Hayes as well. His stellar stats dropped off to start with, but that can be attributed in large part to early-year jitters and skipping a level. Not the highest upside, but I give him a higher likelihood to make an MLB roster than anybody else left on the list.

Hayes is a solid relief pitching prospect, which is why I have not voted for him yet. I just don't see too much value in relief pitching prospects. I would rather go with a guy who could make a major impact in the bigs.
