Of course, there's enough commercials in NFL games to watch plenty of the Reds game too.
I think most people that enjoy both the NFL and MLB take this approach. NFL gets precedence because it's once a week and there is more interest on Sunday and maybe Monday Night-- and then they focus on baseball until the next Sunday. I think that's how most "dual" fans do it. So baseball loses a small portion of that audience once football starts.
But NFL fans that are only casually observers of MLB pretty much discard baseball this time of year-- and the number of those fans completely dwarfs the number of casual NFL fans who ignore it until baseball ends.
