Mike Sweeney vs. Derrek Lee

I don't think either are playing as well as they can this year.

Who do you guys like better and why. They're fairly comparable THIS season.

Personally, I like Lee better. Sweeney is as injury-prone as they come. Lee starts slow every year, but ends up with good numbers.

Exactly. Lee is a much better player even though he hasn't shown it this year. He always starts slow and June / July / August are his months to just torch the league. Sweeney is a good hitter, a very good hitter, who always hits .290 at least, but because he is so injury prone he has never topped 30 HR's or 110 RBI, and he also doens't steal bases like Lee will.

I prefer Sweeney. For the most part I was able to take Sweeney very late in 5x5 league drafts, due to injury risk etc. I generally wait on 1st sackers so it fit my plan better I think Lee was really overvalued this season due to the move to Wrigley.

Yet, I think Lee will put up better numbers and if I was gonna try and buy low on one of the Lee would definatly be the man.

I dropped them both on a whim this week and picked up Overbay to replace them.
