Oh the agony!
Last night had to be one of the worst nights I've ever had in fantasy baseball. My league is in the semi-finals of the playoffs. I'm the #2 seed and am locked in a fierce matchup this week to advance to the finals.
We play the standard H-2-H 5x5 format. Anyway on Wednesday I set my lineup for Thursday. I put Aramis Ramirez on the bench and dropped Vernon Wells for Ryan Klesko. Ramirez had not been playing on a consistent basis because of his injury and when he did play did not do much of anything. As for my Wells for Klesko move, Klesko has been red-hot in September and Wells hadn't done a thing. We all know what Ramirez did yesterday (4-5, 3 HR and 5 RBI). Now add Wells' performance to my misery (3-5, 2 HR, 4 RBI). Combined totals ... 7-10, 5 Runs, 5 HR and 9 RBI. :dflynn: |
