Wow, that's harsh. The team will probably win those lawsuits against the fans, but it will be a pyrrhic victory.

Unbelievable.. I never thought I'd see a story that makes the Reds PR look good.
If the morons do sue, it will make the news and they'll really have a tough time selling season tickets, even when they do start winning.

The Reds might make some stupid pr moves, but I bet you guys would be more than shocked at some of the stories and behind the scenes things they do for people. I personally know of plenty and they are extremely classy and good to their fans.

Re: Tampa Bay Bucs threaten to sue fans who want to give up season tickets
IIRC, the Bengals had some similar problems in the offseason that they hired Marvin, had some fans not wanting to pony up on a similar package. I believe they made the same threat. It's a tough situation, but I think most folks understand where the teams are coming from in these cases moreso than they do the fan.

Re: Tampa Bay Bucs threaten to sue fans who want to give up season tickets
"Mark Olson has enjoyed his two club seats on the 42-yard line at Raymond James Stadium. But at a combined $700 per Bucs game, he thought it best to give them up and try to purchase general seating, even if it meant forfeiting the remainder of his $4,860 deposit."
Isn't that what a deposit is for? To defray a major loss if the buyer doesn't (or is unable to) fulfill his contract? Granted, a contract is a contract, but the "company" obviously didn't explain it the buyer; rather, they chose to hide it in the fine print (like so many do, especially when dealing with the common man). I had a similar experience with a timeshare. Many businesses make their livings off shady clauses lost in the fine print. The lesson, of course, is to read it before signing on the dotted line... read it once, read it twice... the entire document.
