9. Tim Conways slow moving guy on the Carol Burnett show
8. Mr. Robinson
7. Mama - Carol Burnett Show
6. The Asian Lady on Mad TV. (heeeeee loooook.... like a man)
5. Men on Film
4. Bob and Doug McKenzie - SCTV
3. The kid Michael Richards played on Fridays (he set barbies on fire.)
2. Gumby
1. Homey the Clown cuz Home don't play that!

I don't think any of us are old enough to really give out a decent assessment of this. You would have to take in accout the greats from the 50's and 60's also. It would take me days to come up with an all time list.


Don't forget Flip Wilson's Geraldine.

You could add Art Carney and Jackie Gleason as Ed Norton and Ralph Kramden because "The Honeymooners" was originally a sketch on Gleason's comedy show then.

Lily Tomlin's Ernestine on Laugh In

Also Ruth Buzzi and Arte Johnson's elderly characters on Laugh In

I was too young for Milton Berle and Sid Caesar but the stuff they did on their shows was pure gold.

Also the guy on MADD TV when he does John Madden is pretty good.
