Casey has been batting # 3 all year and yet only has a 13 runs and 14 RBI's. Sad.

For those of you keep your own perverse scorecard at home that's 7.6 of the teams runs and 8.6 % of the Teams RBI's in 11.4% of the teams total AB's.

In the 5th slot Dunn has accounted for 9.1% of the teams ab's, 14% of the runs scored and 14,8% of the RBI's

worst part of it is if Kearns continues to heat up, Dunn will be back to batting 6th. Gotta break up the lefties

Re: 5/15 Reds go for the series win vs Phillies

I want to know where I can get a "perverse" score card. That might make some of these games more interesting.

BTW- Casey is batting .314 with runners in scoring position (KRISP) so apparently that's not the key to driving runners in that some believe it to be.

His basement does have windows. Sometimes they're even open.

Quite ironic that the most productive hitter is hitting fifth isn't it?

Re: 5/15 Reds go for the series win vs Phillies

Adam Dunn is clearly not the Reds most productive hitter. He strikes out way too much, his BATTING AVERAGE is horrible in those sitations, and he is not the least bit KRISPy.

The fact that he leads the Reds in both runs scored and runs driven in are mirages.

Plus, its Dunn fault that Larue and Kearns aren't hitting (They see Dunn on ESPN and want to join him on the highlights so they swing for the fences, hence their struggles) and if you take out all the games in which Dunn has had a hit then he is batting .000.

You guys need to get off your spreadsheets and calculators and learn this.

All joking aside, here's hoping Elizardo throws a good game today. That, or the Reds score 12 runs again.

Spreadsheets and calculators are for wusses. Run baseball analysis with MATLAB and Mathematica, fun for hours.

What is also amazing is that Dunn has 13 runs scored (non HR)when he has this behind him.

#7 Reds .225/.268/.420/.689

#8 Reds .240/.320/.349/.669

Vicente Padilla has an ERA higher than any of our starters do (9.something). What's behind that? Multiple bad outings? One really bad outing?
