Re: Good Summer Reading List

I've seen that list all over the internet.

The most hilarious thing about it is that they have Amazon referral links embedded in the links to the books. So they think these books are dangerous and harmful, but they don't mind making a buck off of their sale. Typical.

The honorable mentions are hilarious. Silent Spring, Unsafe at any Speed, Darwin x 2. These people are so out to lunch it's ridiculous.

I'm in trouble. I've read 7 of the top 10.

Kampf means battle...not struggle. and i think anyone who wants to understand human drive and determination, as well as just how disturbed a mind can be should read Mein Kampf. how is The Kinsey Report Harmful?

if you're going to come up with a list of "most dangerous books," you have to form a review body of:
1. more than fifteen people
2. a group of people who don't make President Bush look leftist...BALANCE PEOPLE!

Re: Good Summer Reading List

I don't think they're looking for balance, as is their right. I found the inclusion of Darwin in the honorable mentions pretty hilarious. What about Copernicus or Galileo?

Hilarious. Needless to say I will now try and track down all of the books on there that I haven't read yet just to see what the big deal is.

John Stuart Mill is harmful?

Really, it's people like this that give conservatives a bad name. First of all, why are you even making a "harmful book" list? Books are only as harmful as we make them.
