Aside from the rocky start, Ortiz really hasn't been too bad today.

Bingo. Any talk of making the club more competitive or visits from the COO to try and "light a fire" under the team should just be read as PR posturing to keep the fans believing there is a chance to win and buying tickets.

This season was cooked the day Eric Milton, Paul Wilson and Ramon Ortiz were coutned on to be 60% of the rotation. Some of us just didn't know it at the time.

Ironically, even before I read this, I was sitting here thinking about what PuffyPig said. Why do I feel the way I do.

I liked it when DM was named the Reds manager, and now I hate it because of all the silly/dumb/crazy/unfounded things he does. I guess I've just become so used to it, that I now feel every move he makes fits into the same mold.

I need to change my attitude.

Casey singles to center. His 3rd hit of the day.

I still like to think they could turn it around... a lot of good games and some luck. Rose colored glasses. Can't help it.

If any team in the Majors was destined to be knocked down a peg or two, it was the Orioles. They're about as substantial a contender as an igloo in the Bahamas.

And when Jr. swings the bat the way he has been lately, it really makes me want to believe.

Perhaps. But the fact that the Reds are beating them for (hopefully) 2 out of 3 is a bit different than pounding the pitiful Devil Rays

Bring on Fenway!!

Bases loaded, 0 outs.

Can the Reds score double digits for the 4th time in 5 games?

Not too bad,
8 baserunners, 2 homers, 2 doubles.

Not good either.
