Re: 8/13 Gamethread vs Beer Makers

What was the point of calling EE up if he is only going to play 4 or 5 games a week?

You don't see Bobby Cox benching Jeff Francoeur and Kelly Johnson twice a week. Rickie Weeks doesn't sit twice a week.

The Reds don't know how to handle young players. We have to bench our young guys so that crybaby can get his way.

Hey, I agree that I want EdE in there, BUT if Rich is gonna play, at least he has him batting 8th. Maybe there is something more than what we know? Did EdE tweak something (I wouldn't know, nothing mentioned in the gamethread : ). Just sayin'

Then put Freel at 3rd and Ray at 2nd.

Really..I don't want RA playing anymore, play the kids.

Just trying to be considerate for all concerned is all. Am I alone here wanting to be able to follow the game in the game thread?
Nope. I always wish folks would drop in an inning and score occasionally, so I know where in the game the action is occuring.

It's been much worse no question, but here's what we should see 9/10 games the rest of the season: [or at least 4/5]

Ryan Freel 2B
Felipe Lopez SS
Ken Griffey Jr. CF
Adam Dunn LF
Austin Kearns RF
Sean Casey 1B
Jason LaRue C
Edwin Encarnacion 3B
Starter P

I was in chat last night. There was plenty of score and inning traffic there. I didn't see any of the chatters in the game thread when I checked it later. Personally, chat hogs so many resources on my system it works better when I don't look at the board in a separate window.

Looks like Lopez used his days off to get some new cleats. They're pretty sweet looking.

Re: 8/13 Gamethread vs Beer Makers

Weeks works a full count before flying out to Dunn, 1 away.
Hardy strikesout swinging on a 2-2 delivery, 2 down.
Overbay ahead 3-1, grounds out to Freel.

Scoreless after one.
