Fountain Square garage to close during project

Since many fans use this garage for games this is not surprising news...

Cincinnati Business Courier - 9:34 AM EDT Friday
Fountain Square garage to close during project
Cincinnati officials will close Fountain Square Garage Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. for demolition of the plaza in the Square's revitalization project.

The city, Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) and Downtown Cincinnati, Inc. have identified parking spaces in 17 parking lots and garages within four blocks of Fountain Square. Public and private parking lot owners in that area will offer up to three hours of parking for $6 or less. A map of the parking locations are on the city's website, www.cincinnati-oh.gov; or 3CDC's site, www.3cdc,org; or DCI's website, www.downtowncincinnati.com. Parking garages also will have maps available.

The garage will reopen when the Fountain Square project is finished, in August 2006.

Damn, I was going to park there for the World Series. Now I have to unload my Reds/Tampa Bay WS tickets on ebay.
