I was hoping Denorfia would play since Pena is out. But instead we get Cruz.

It's amazing how bad this lineup can look when you take Casey and The Kid out.

They still have been scoring a fair amount of runs. I would have rather seen Denorfia in CF.

Are the Reds playing a split squad game today?

They got to hold back some fire power until they see just how bad the damage allowed by Milton is

I agree with the previous comments about Denorfia. It seems to me they he has done well with the looks he has gotten but they haven't given him nearly the number of looks they seemed to indicate they probably would.

Sort of reminds me of the line you hear from (the losing) football coaches after the game, "Well we went in looking to get the ball to Billy Bob a lot more but we just did not see the situations to do it" My response, who was calling the plays (making out the line up card)-??

Of course when playing a flyball pitcher it's always a good idea to put the big guy back in OF and forgo the speedy OF so that your LH pinch hitter can try and tee off.

Quite the gamble, to get a LH bat in the lineup, giving up OF defense with Milton the mound.

I hate to say it, but I would much rather have Richie and Denorfia playing that Olmedo ( I really REALLY want to like the guy!!)and Cruz. Eazy on the feedback on Aurillia, guys..

Personally I want to find out how well Denorfia can play out there.

The best thing for the 2006 Reds is a different CF. If I had my druthers, Pena and Casey would be gone and Jr moved to 1B. Seems to me that Denorfia has a chance to be a younger and better version of Brady Clark.

Unless they can play behind the fence it isn't that much of a gamble.

Just what I was thinking, Denorfia deserves some starts, we know what Cruz can do.

Or they need to get OF's with about 100 inch vertical leap to snag Milton's fly balls.

Re: 9/29 Reds/Brewers Valentin 4th

All the talk in early September was about only calling up guys that would get significant ABs/innings. Hasn't happened, which leaves Narron et al more in the dark than they should be about Denorfia, Simpson and Booker (Perez is less of an issue, since he is years away). Bizarre.
