so, how about a quick recap of what's been going on here?
it starts with lgj wanting a little info from tc2. no big deal really... then we go to worshipping and a male who spreads gossip. so that's what the women want...god, being a woman, i never knew that...oh, but that's not what they said or meant or even implied! then we have someone comparing hitler and this thread, and women want the scoop, not baseball. this has really become quite amusing! i have to keep checking in every chance i get! i will stay tuned! (oh and by the way, i enjoy knowing a little more about the guys than their batting averages, it makes them more personable...) but i guess that's just because i'm a woman... hahahahaha. so thanks tc2 for all the updates and info!

VR, if you think Memento is confusing, try Mulholland Drive. That movie was the weirdest thing I have ever seen.
Countdown to 4192... lets keep it going!!! |

How about Scott Sullivan almost going to the Braves??? Whew! Could you imagine the Braves bullpen with Sully in it. He pitches the 6th and possbily the 7th then hands it over. WOW!!
Oh by the way my source was indeed Scott Sullivan. This was also confirmed by Tim Naehring. Sullivan was nearly dealt in a package deal that would have included Sean Casey and a player to be named. Sully did not know who the Reds were getting in return but Tim remembers the Reds would have received Kevin Millwood, Wes Helms and a Minor League pitcher. I do not know nor does Tim know why the deal was not consumated. [ 04-23-2002, 05:30 PM: Message edited by: Team Clark ] |

This proposed deal had something to do with Sullivan's option not being picked up. Sullivan says the Braves were willing to tender a 4 year offer.

Team Clark - You have officially done it. You have provided the goods for this thread to sail WAAAY past 4192!
Anyway, I really would hesitate before trading Casey. That is just me, but I love the guy and love his influence. I don't really think it is a fair deal though -- Sully and Casey are both very solid players, and to get Millwood back, who is still unproven health wise, would be a risk. I don't know. I wish JimBo would pull the trigger on any trade involving an SP. |

That must've been one helluva "minor league pitcher" otherwise Sullivan/Casey for Millwood/Helms would've been an absolute steal for the Braves! To quote 15fan...Kevin Millwood? Blech! (2-2 record, 4.18 ERA, so far in 2002...)
