Yeah at first I could not stand Gapper...and I noticed the kids liked him so I say keep him.....I dont see as much love for the Pepsi Squad though. If the Reds need to cut back payroll lets get rid of these guys.

My guess is that Pepsi pays the Reds to have those guys there.

Re: Castellini DFA's Gapper

Ya know, when Gapper was in AA, I thought he had serious upside. I mean, his dancing was phenomenal, and his physical presence was something to be reckoned with. I thought he had potential to be a #1 starting mascot, he could have been right up there with the Phillie Phanatic. But you know those little injuries started creeping in. Short stints on the DL became longer stints on the DL, and before you know it, you're talking about unrealized potential. Sad, but true. Maybe if he had stayed in the minors a little longer to work on some of his moves. Who knows, he could have been destined for Cooperstown.

Gapper is a total Phillie Phanatic clone. That's why everyone takes one look at him and rolls their eyes.

I think they need to dfa the "alien eyes" Mr. Red. Bring back the original, the classic...

Gapper? If the kids love him, then build an attraction around him and watch the money roll in.

Yep, the second rate theme parks of the world are full of guys like this.

Sad, very sad.
