Lousiville vs. Syracuse Monday

Chad Mottola drove in the winning run for the SkyChiefs, who beat the Bats 5-4.

Denorfia 1 for 2
Stratton 1 for 3 with a double
Cruz 1 for 4 with a homer

Wagner pitched 1 inning with 3 hits, 1 run, 1 earned run, 0 walks, 3 strikeouts

Scott Chiasson got beaten from pillar to post, but the aged Chris Michalak pitched wonderfully.

The Bats are 0-4 after suffering many of the same bullpen issues that their parent club is seeing.

Ugh on Wags. Not what we need to hear from him, stat wise. Though the 3 K's are encouraging....

Shackelford had 4 Ks, 2 hits in 1.1 innings Tuesday night. Bats won 3-2 on 10th inning homer by light-hitting catcher Ryan Jorgensen.

Sounds like Wagner can get people in AAA to fish over his slider, but the rest of his stuff is weak. I think he is dealt soon.
