Matt Kata clears waivers and is assigned to AAA.

Cincinnati Reds Send outright infielder Matt Kata to Louisville of the International League (AAA). I am glad he cleared waivers. So Phillips did not cost us Kata. Kata can still be used in trades. Teams were probably afraid to claim Kata and put on the 40 man roster. |

No teams wanted Kata. I don't think he'll bring anything as far as trade value. |

Well if nothing else he does get a chance to work at AAA. He is still young and has options this year. Hopefully he can thrive in the system.
