Re: Era 4.69!

After the first week, the ERA was 7.83. Also, Harang's ERA has drastically dropped as well. Don't forget the bullpen has turned it on recently.

Its amazing what happens when your bullpen doesnt have to pitch 3-4 innings a night isnt it.

Re: Era 4.69!

While getting the staff's ERA under 5 is friggin sweet..... Dave Williams is pitching tomorrow. Or perhaps I should say Matt Belisle is pitching tomorrow after the Reds do a mock all star game home run contest (If we put Dave Williams in a clown suit, he'd totally be the HR derby pitcher)

When the ERA is less than a gallon of gas, wake me up.

Do many teams post sub 3 ERAs these days?

Re: Era 4.69!

Maybe he just means wait until gas gets higher, not the ERA lower.

The question is will gas go up that much faster or will the ERA sink quickly enough?

Based upon that reasoning, this is the first time I've ever found myself wishing for the deadball era to return.
