Yankees to sign Jason Romano

http://www.columbusdispatch.com/clip...523-E2-01.html

The Yankees are also expected to sign outfielders Richard Hidalgo (16 HRs for Texas in 2005) and Jason Romano (129 games in the majors, including 19 with Cincinnati last season).

Wow. A casting call for a LF in the Bronx. Go figure. I guess Melky Cabrera is not their savior.

I meant to post this yesterday, they were talking about it on XM. Hidalgo might be useful, Romano....not so much.

Can you get a work release to play MLB?

Sorry, shouldn't have said that.

I wonder if they would be willing to deal Hughes for an outfielder?

Thus endeth the Terence Long experiment? They seem to like Reds castoffs these days. Get on the horn with Cashman about a deal for Dave Williams. Y'know, if DanO and Melvin don't come through.

Wow, Romano, Long, Stratton, I half expect Kenny Kelly and Darren Bragg to show up in the Yankees system any day now.

Are they going to have to pry him out of DanO's cold, dead hands?

What about Deno for a MLB pitcher..do they have anything extra to send our way for that sort of deal?

Or what about Kearns???? Freel????
