Travis Wood named Pitcher of the Week

Dayton’s pitching continues to pile up the accolades; this week Travis Wood took home the Pitcher of the Week honor for his performance last week. In two starts, Wood went 2-0 with a 0.87 ERA, giving up just one earned run while striking out 13. For the season, the Dragons starter is 4-0 with a 3.74 ERA.

Re: Travis Wood named Pitcher of the Week

They must have flipped a coin between Cueto and Wood to determine the winner.

Cueto has the edge so far this week; hopefully Wood can match his success tonight by firing 6 or 7 shutout innings.

OBM how long have you had "Johnny Cueto" under your name....I just now noticed it.
As for Wood, I hope he can come close to what Cueto did, becuase it was pretty impressive.

I put it there during the 2nd or 3rd inning of his start on Thursday night.
