Re: Get Ready for the sweep
I will say we have gotten to him both games he has pitched against us this year, but I really thought we would do more against maddux last night so what do I know.

Re: Get Ready for the sweep
Oh ye of little faith...
If the Reds can get a run or two off of him early, and they've had success in that vein before IIRC, Zambrano'll go all nutso-crazy, as usual, and the Redlegs'll take the game. The key to beating Zambrano is keeping your cool. He doesn't bend, only breaks. I think.

Re: Get Ready for the sweep
I simply refuse to believe the Cubs are good enough to sweep anyone.

Re: Get Ready for the sweep
The Reds could easily go out and win 7-5.

Re: Get Ready for the sweep
You simply cannot get swept by this Chicago Cubs team.

Re: Get Ready for the sweep
Getting swept by the cubs would be a sign that it's time to quit for the year

Re: Get Ready for the sweep
Does the fact that Milton is starting tonight help or hurt the Reds in avoiding the sweep?

The Cubs are bad, but the Reds will rubbing elbows with them in no time. This isn't last year's great offensive squad anymore; they're a bad pitching team and a mediocre hitting team. This team has shown its arse; and it ain't pretty. I will be stunned--downright apoplectic--if the Reds win more than last year's 73 wins. |
