I wonder what the Small Bears ...
think of the play of Corey Patterson.
A player that is an excellent example of what happens when you try to mold a player into something he is not instead of accepting for what he is and untilize his strengths instead of focusing on his weaknesses..

It's pretty much emblematic of the stupidity of the coaching staff in place. He had about 6 coaches in his ear at any given time who were all telling him contradictory things. He was constantly frustrated at the plate and it showed. Also, his judgment on the basepaths left much to be desired.
Considering that Juan Pierre has sucked wind (with Ricky Nolasco looking really promising in FLA) and none of the guys they got back from the Orioles have amounted to anything...this has the potential to get really ugly for the Cubs. |
