Raven is the "Dustin" Moseley" pick, though hopefully he fills out his frame better than Dustin, who didn't.

Re: 2006 Official MLB Draft Thread

Mets take Stephen Holmes. I like this kid. RHP out of University of Rhode Island. He's a player I had my eye on in the mock draft.

I can't believe LaPorta isn't even considered a 5th round pick by some of these teams.

What's the scoop on LaPorta? I thought he was expected to go in the first three rounds.

Re: 2006 Official MLB Draft Thread

I didn't notice any huge flaws with Ravin's delivery, but I'm not expert either.

Does anyone think that the Reds can now develope minor league talent with Krivs in place? Have the put better instructors in place?

That John Holmes. I bet he's doesn't have a high Dontrelle-like leg kick then.

I was joking, but that would be funny.

He wouldn't even have to carry a bat with him to the plate.

I was going to say, if that really was true, surely Puffy would have taken him in the first round of our mock draft.

Re: 2006 Official MLB Draft Thread

Indians take RHP Chris Archer, Clayton HS (NC).

He's another pitcher I liked when I was doing research for the mock draft.
