6/11 Minor League Updates
Dayton is tied at 3 after 7 innings.
Jay Bruce is 2-2 with an RBI and 2 walks. Mike DeJesus is 2-4. Travis Wood went 5 innings, allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Sarasota was rained out Chattanooga is up 10-8 after 5 innings. Travis Chick went 5 innings allowed 8 runs on 8 hits, 2 home runs, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Joey Votto is 2-3 with a triple, a walk and 2 RBI Louisville is tied at 5 after 8 innings. Chris Denorfia is 2-4 with 2 runs scored Jeff Bannon is 2-3 with 3 RBI Ryan Wagner went 0.2 innings, allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk

Man Bruce is on fire, and the 2 walks are good to see.
Votto contiues to sting the ball. Deno needs to be in Cincy. Wagner is looking like a bust. |

Chick's move to the pen is very close IMO. He can't hack it since he has no offspeed pitch at all, if his slider isn't agreeing with him, he gets shelled, not surprisingly, his second time through the lineup. Promote Shafer to AAA and begin the transfer. The Reds need pen arms.
Yeah, Deno is toying with minor league pitching, he most likely pats them on the head. Either he needs to be brought up as a 4th OF, or if they are insistant on starting him, deal Kearns for some pitching. Last edited by Aronchis; 06-11-2006 at 04:51 PM. |
