Russ Ortiz
I saw on Arizona's home page that he maybe avaliable plus his 20 million still owed him. Looks like he is having bad year (0-5 ) 7.64 era What would it take to get him or not interested? The article said that they might RELEASE him.

Re: Russ Ortiz
It's so bad that Arizona was using him in the bullpen for a stint. If he is released and we can get him for league minimum then I may go after him..

Re: Russ Ortiz
I'd take him. He's better than a lot of the guys that the Reds have. I wouldn't pay him anything near what he is owed, but I'd pick him up if he was DFA'd.

Re: Russ Ortiz
What the heck happened to this guy? He was pretty good from 2001-2003 and then went to Arizona and has gotten worse and worse.

Re: Russ Ortiz
When he was signed after the 2004 season it was generally regarded as the worst of that off season, even surpassing the Milton deal.
