6/22 Minor League Update (Homer makes his Lookouts debut)

Louisville hosts Rochester at 7:15
Lookouts (and Homer) host Carolina at 7:15
Dayton plays at 7

Listen to Homer make his debut here.

I also think you can listen to it on the Lookouts website.

GCL Reds won 4-2.
Gruler pitched 2 scoreless innings and struck out 3.

Great to see Gruler back and eased into a rotation. I really hope he can regain what was and hopefully is a promising career.

Alright you want to go to the Lookouts website because milb.com has the Carolina feed. Pregame show for the lookouts is on right now.

Jay Bruce starts off his second half with a single. Fisher threw a scoreless first inning.

Why ain't Votto playing? They wouldn't give him a day off while he's in a huge hot streak would they?

Thanks Reds44 I was able to catch pregame about Homer. It seems like they are planning on trying to let him see things and learn for himself. He has a 1 2 3 first inning.

Re: 6/22 Minor League Update (Homer makes his Lookouts debut)

Lookouts announcer says Bailey threw 13 pitches, 12 were fastballs and I believe he said all were clocked at 96.

Moran singles.

Javon Moran extends his hit streak to 5, and leads of the game with a single.

Biggest concern now is that he starts pressing and throwing too hard -- don't want him to screw the arm up to try and jusitfy his promotion.

I'm holding my breath a bit.

In the pregame interview with the pitching coach, he said he stressed Homer not to do that. He just told him to do what you do, and don't overthrow.

That rally ended fast. 1st and 2nd 0 out with a run in, and the Lookouts don't get anymore.

At least they got 1 for Homer.
