Logan Parker's hot start

I liked this guy straight out of the draft. He is a good contact power hitter from UC. So far he is on fire, I hope he can continue this and be in Datyon soon, which is where I thought he should have started anyway. So far he is:
7-10, 2B, HR, 3 walks, 0 K's at Billings.

Mustangs first baseman Logan Parker had his third straight multi-hit game. Parker has seven hits in 10 at-bats this season.

From what I understand he has pretty good power potential as well.

I also liked Chris Buckley mentioning that Parker's athletic enough to play the outfield corners as well. If a guy's limited to first base right out of the box, you're placing all the eggs in one basket.

Re: Logan Parker's hot start

This was one of the draft picks I really liked. The write-ups had me thinking he was a lower profile Nick Swisher-type player. Maybe even with a bit more pop.

Yeah, I tried to word that with saying he is a "contact power hitter."

Take a look at his numbers at UC (keep in mind Big East play now too).

Code:
G AB Avg. 2b 3b HR RBI SLG OBP BB K SB/ATT
58 221 .344 18 7 11 69 .638 .465 54 31 13/14
The AB/K ratio is pretty impressive.

Big East play is quite a step down from Conference USA (in baseball only), maybe even from Odessa CC.

Ben Broussard II

And that wouldn't be a bad thing, so long as we keep him around.
