Harang home and road splits

I was checking out Harangs stats on the Reds website and his home/road splits stood out to me.

2-3 at home, 6-2 on the road

Home: 6.00 ERA, 48 Innings, 60 Hits, 9 Homeruns, 13 BB, 54 K
Road: 1.57 ERA, 57.1 Innings, 47 Hits, 1 Homerun, 14 BB, 51 K

Think how good his numbers would be if we had a home stadium like Washington. Of course his actual record might not be much better considering we score a lot of runs off HRs and then again almost all of AD's dingers would go out of any park.

Re: Harang home and road splits

Seems an anomaly. Last year it was the opposite. Aaron was much better at home...

Home ERA: 3.31, 101.2 IP, 92H, 11 HR, 26BB, 80K
Road ERA: 4.30, 111 IP, 125H, 11HR, 25BB, 83K

He's just happened to have his 3-4 worst starts at home (three pretty bad ones in April, including opening day, skewing the home stats).

Two solid starters on the rise, both young and relatively cheap. Finally some progress...

Not to mention a mid- 90's flamethrower sitting in AA, which is often the last step before a major league promotion. These three could be the makings of one of the best rotations in baseball by 2008.

If Todd Coffey's ERA is usually eliminated from competition when Bullpen stats are brought up - what's Aaron's Splits if you remove opening day?

Maybe the Reds should wear the black caps and black sleeves at home when Harang pitches!
