Prospect Profile - Jeremiah Piepkorn
my boys' favorite player of all time - good guy, hard worker...not high on the prospect list...
Jeremiah Piepkorn Born: February 18, 1981 Waenda,Minnesota Height: 6-3 Weight: 215 Bats: R Throws: R College: North Dakota State University Drafted: Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cincinnati Reds in 2004. Position: IF/OF Current Team/League – High-A Florida State League Sarasota Reds 2006-Stats (as of 6/29) - .257/7/39 – spent sometime on the disabled list early in the year from a wrist injury….recovering from a slow start where he was 1 for his first 20…can play both corner OF positions, 3b, and 1b…everyday in lineup at mostly 3b, 1b, or DH. Career Recap – Spent a majority of the 2005 year in Dayton leading the Dragons in AB, HR, & RBI’s…second in the team in hits…played 1b, 3b, LF, RF, & DH for an injury-plagued Dragons team…joined the Dragons in 2004 as an undrafted FA from North Dakota State… All-North Coast Conference selection in college.. IMO-SYNOPSIS…one of the hardest working players in the organization..can be used in 4 different positions…is not a patient hitter…but can hit to all fields….glove is not flashy nor bad…average Chris Sabo-type grinder…older prospect after 4 years in college….is in the regular starting lineup in Sarasota, will finish the year there. Current Reds Uniform Projection....hard to say…if he gets hot and carries it for the next two-years, could be September call up in 2008…age is an issue in development.....most likely will not see the big leagues....

Probably would be a manager/coach type whether in High School/College/Minors. No pro prospect what so ever.

Re: Prospect Profile - Jeremiah Piepkorn
Send the kid to the Winnipeg Goldeyes we would love him here. This city would embrace him and he could avoid real work for atleast another 4 years
. He sounds like a kid with passion and a love for the game.
