Florida State League James Avery, Sarasota 2-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 1 CG, 1 SHO, 13.0 IP, 7 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 4 BB, 5 SO Avery, a proud product of Moose Jaw, Canada, tossed 13 shutout innings this week. In doing so, the 22-year-old earned back-to-back wins for the first time this season. On Monday, Avery hurled six scoreless frames against Lakeland. On Sunday, he fired a complete-game seven-inning shutout against a decidedly non-miraculous Fort Myers team.
