I'd take Olsen in a heartbeat.

Olsen grew up a Cubs fan, you guys want nothing to do with him.

Used to be, you had to prove something in the Majors before you started calling people out. I looked at the guy's career stats and I was not overwhelmed.

I'll take a talented pitcher who calls out lazy players every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I completely agree.

Childish and unprofessional. It's fine to call a guy out for bad play, but keep that kind of thing in the locker room, not the dugout.

Ramp the sarcasm font was in heavy use there.

Girardi seems to be running an interesting clubhouse down there

for the record, he was got upset at Cabrera on the play before Miguel "loafed" to the ball. A bullet down the line by Jose Valentin, Cabrera was playing well off the line and there was no way for even Brooks Robinson to get that ball yet Olsen got upset over it.

Re: Scott Olsen V. Miguel Cabrera

But ramp, doesn't Cabrera have a rep as being too 'unmotivated' in his fielding?

If that's the case wouldn't Olsen, who is a bit hot-headed, have a basis?

Re: Scott Olsen V. Miguel Cabrera

Ramp knows more than I do about the Marlins, but there was a ton of talk right at the end of last season about Cabrera and his work ethic/attitude.

I'm not saying it's a sure fire thing, but seems like something was there.
