Purely hypothetical- Cole Hamels?

In the spirit of every other would you post that has appeared on this board during these idle days, would you trade Austin Kearns straight up for Cole Hamels?

Two months ago, Hamels seemed like the biggest stud since Doc Gooden. After a few shaky outings and a few concerning injuries, he could be looking more like the next Zack Greinke/Todd Van Poppel. If he hits, you have another potential Liriano type on your hands, if he misses you have yet another Ryan Wagner to get rid of. The good news is he makes the league minimum, the bad news is...well, you know. Would you roll the dice on a deal like this if you're the Kriv?

Nope. Too injury prone to count on. You shouldn't just give away RF's with good defensive skills, decent arms, and decent/good pop in their bat.

AK for Hamels? In a second. Hamels might be injury prone, but AK is no Ripken. He is also a young, potential ace.

Hamels smells a lot like LH version of Mark Prior.

So would you rather have JD Drew or Mark Prior? Seeing as our need is pitching, Hammels is 3 years younger, cheaper and left handed I'd do it.

Hamels is absolutely filthy. The only problem he is currently having is some inconsistent control, but he is bound to be among the top two or three lefties in baseball very soon. No way the Phillies would ever do this deal.

Exactly, no way the Phillies ever would do that deal. Hamels is nasty and only 22 years old. It'd take more than Kearns to land him.

Of course you make that deal.

Of course the Phillies don't.
