Interesting tidbit
I just heard that David Wright, BJ Upton, and Ryan Zimmerman were all part of the same high school infield in Chesapeake, VA. Can this be confirmed? If so, was this the most talented tandem on a high school team of all time?

Re: Interesting tidbit
I don't know about major leaguers, but I suspect there are some on this board who could tell you some pretty good infielders that came out of some Cincinnati schools. I'm thinking there may have been some West High teams that were pretty scrappy.

Re: Interesting tidbit
I'd still put the Crenshaw HS team that fielded Eric Davis and D Strawberry up among the best HS teams of all time. Can you imagine HS kids pitching to those two with aluminum bats!?

Re: Interesting tidbit
I've heard something like this before and I'm pretty sure they were all on the same summer team together, not high school team. That must have been one heck of a team.

2 minutes in and Rockies announcers start up on Milton's HR rate.
"Not bad this year...only 15" "But that's in 80 innings" |
