What? No Kris Benson? No Paul Byrd?
Same thought I had. I also might throw Jake Westbrook into the mix, although it's doubtful that he would go anywhere, it's possible. I think Benson is a very big possiblity if we waive Joey Votto around.

Re: Who do the Reds acquire?

I have to think it'll be Lohse for the easy reason of he is a Minnesota Twin. Let's see how many players I can name off the top of head that have been on the Twins in the past few years...Guardado, Mays (thank God he's gone), Castro, see a trend...not to mention Balfour and Milton though that was done by the previous regime, but still.

Re: Who do the Reds acquire?

I think we are going to get a guy that will come cheaply, we dont need to be parting with blue chip prospects. The two guys that I see being sent to Cincy are:

1)Mark Redman- a package of Phil Dumatrait and William Bergolla lands him

2)Kyle Lohse-same thing. Dumatrait and Javon Moran

Re: Who do the Reds acquire?

10 on someone else. I think the odds of the Reds getting Willis are greater than Zito or Clemens, especially Clemems.

All my points on nobody. WK's done for this year.

Hopefully he's active in the winter meetings.

Bad news for Benson, taken from RotoWorld.com:

Kris Benson, who gave up four runs in six innings Tuesday against the Royals, returned to Baltimore on Wednesday to have his sore elbow examined.
There goes his trade value. Of course, Benson seems to have elbow difficulties every year, and these may not be any more significant than usual. "Kris has complained a little bit about his elbow hurting the last couple of months," manager Sam Perlozzo said. "We've got him in Baltimore right now as a precautionary measure just to make sure that it's nothing more than a little inflammation. We just want to see what's up, where's he's at."
