And have you read this thread? Homer throws a good game and its "but he let up 7 baserunners in the game". Big Whoop. 2 were walks. So that means he gave up 5 hits. lets hits than innings pitched. Why are we complaining?

Its everyone's right to be a critic, and admittedly Homer has deserved critisism at poitns during his short career. But why he's getting any flak since being promoted to AA is beyond me. I ask once again.

WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT THE KID TO DO.

I'm not talking about working on his offspeed stuff.. I'm not talking about any of that. I'm talking about results. RESULTS.
Those who are thumping their chest should also be humbled by the fact that the young man hasn't thrown a pitch that counts for the Cincinnati Reds yet. Those same folks should also be humbled by the names Richie Gardner, Bobby Basham, Brett Tomko, and that's just getting started. I haven't seen anyone not tickled to death with what Homer is doing in Chatty. But the strutting by his fans is a bit distasteful.

About as distasteful as last offseason. People that hated Homer's signing were strongly convinced that his first two years numbers were mediocore and that Homer was never going to amount to squat.

I got reemed for believing in Homer's peripheral numbers. I saw plenty of strutting.

I remember reading articles after the Futures game where scouts LOVED what they saw with Baileys fastball and its late movement that it had. I dont know how much you have seen the kid pitch, but scouts all around loved what type of movement they saw on the pitch.

You cant copy/paste BA content here, but here is a link. Go read the last paragraph of the article. Talks about how scouts loved his sinking, diving late movement on his fastball.
