Sorry, this is a made up Rumor
My friend here at work used my computer to write this rumor. He was just kidding. Sorry about that I have RedZone up all the time on my computer and talk about it a lot. With all the trade razz going around he throught it would be funny.
I explained to him...not funny....not funny... Rumor Thread: “Giffrey, Baily and LaRue for Oakland's Zito and Street....According to a source close to GM Billy Beane"- This was from a SportsTalke AM station out of Oakland. lets see what happens.....this is going to be an interesting day. Krivsky would never trade Bailey for Zito, a half year rental. This would kill the offense taking away Griffey anyways, Krivs is smarter than that.

Thursday's Contra Costa Times said a "team source" confirmed that the A's had made a "formal trade offer" to the Mets, prompting Beane to go on a rant of sorts on the validity of such sources.
"Let me make this clear," Beane said. "Whenever you see something about us that says a 'team source' said something, you can safely assume that it's a bald-faced lie. There are no 'team sources' here. There's me and there's David [Forst, Beane's assistant GM], and that's it. And we don't talk about what we might or might not be working on.
